Carroll County Public Health is offering FREE RADON test kits to homeowners! To receive your free radon test kit, visit our office between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Iowa HHS officials have confirmed 12 cases of measles in Southern Iowa. Vaccination is our best tool against measles. People who are not vaccinated against measles should talk to their healthcare provider about MMR vaccination.

Anyone present at the locations listed in the link should monitor themselves for symptoms. Symptoms of measles include fever, cough, red/watery eyes, runny nose, and a rash. If you think you have been exposed to measles and have symptoms, call your medical provider or nearest emergency room BEFORE YOU SHOW UP and tell them that you have been exposed to measles and have symptoms.

All we can say is WOW!!! At our bike safety rodeo, we were able to distribute 61 bike helmets and provide education on hand signals, properly fitting helmets, and the rules of the road. THANK YOU to our volunteers from Carroll Police Department, Carroll County Iowa Sheriff's Office, and Iowa Small Engine Center. Thank you to the parents and grandparents that brought their children to ensure their safety on their bikes and scooters.
