For this past Monday’s drill night, members of the training committee demonstrated the use of our new Max Fire Box, a training prop that allows firefighters to learn about fire behavior and flow paths inside a burning structure. With colder temperatures here to stay, it's common for folks to bring out the space heaters to stay warm. Here are some helpful tips to keep you safe when using space heaters during the winter season:

- Keep portable heaters at least three feet away from anything flammable.
- Only place heaters on a flat and sturdy surface.
- Plug heaters directly into the wall outlet (do not use extension cords or power strips).
- Turn off heaters when you are not in the room.

Stay warm, and stay safe this winter!
