Officials in Marshall County, Kansas are upset and asking lawmakers to form a task force to figure out how to regulate storm chasing, after serious chaser convergence on May 18 pi**ed off the sheriff 🚔

What do you think? Does storm chasing need regulation? And how would that even work?

Like other proposals in the past, we don’t see this going anywhere, kind of like people who live near airports and complain about the noise. While there are certainly some careless and rude chasers out there, the majority are responsible and help everyone including authorities and victims.

OMEGA BLOCK ON THE WAY

We are looking at changes on the way to our forecast. We are going to see drier and sunnier weather on the way thanks to an Omega Block. This is a jet stream that is shaped as or close to the Omega greek letter.

Given the latest wet conditions and flooding we have had, we are looking at drier conditions, with sunshine and near normal temperatures as Ohio will be located on the high side of the omega block. This looks to possibly be around until at least mid next week.

Given that temperatures will be near normal and saturated grounds, we are not really concerned about drought conditions at this time.

A beautiful stretch of dry and mild weather is upcoming to close out the month of May. Temperatures will top out in the 70s each day with lows in the 40s and 50s.
