This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Ohio, southwest
Pennsylvania, western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia.
DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Rain is expected to overspread the region later today, and continue
into Saturday. A period of moderate to heavy rain tonight could
result in elevated creeks and streams, and localized flooding.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

We spent the day with the Ohio State Fire Marshall along with Carrollton FD, Dellroy FD, Fox Township FD, Great Trail FD, Hanover Twp FD, Minerva FD, Mohawk Valley FD, and Quad Ambulance representatives discussing emergency services in Carroll County. We then toured an active EOG Resources well pad to give insight into the what our emergency services could encounter if an event arises. Good conversations were had on the current and future state of the fire service and great to see our first responders recognized for the work they do everyday for their communities. Special thanks to Christopher Rotondo of Great Trail FD for setting this up and for inviting the EMA to join.

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 33 will result in frost formation.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, southwest and western
Pennsylvania, and northern and the northern panhandle of West
Virginia.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 8 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive
outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

The Carroll County Local Emergency Planning Committee completed their yearly exercise on Saturday and what a day it was! This exercise was a test of the county response plan to a large scale incident and it took 17 different agencies, at 4 different locations, and over 70 people involved to make this happen. We cannot thank everyone involved enough for their participation and hard work. We are confident we have met all the criteria set by the state, but more importantly, we are confident in the preparedness and capabilities of our local agencies throughout Carroll County.
