Help Us Honor Our Carroll County Veterans & Active Military

As part of the Carroll County Patriots Celebration – Honoring 250 Years of Freedom on June 27th, we are inviting veterans and active military personnel from Carroll County to be recognized during a special ceremony and enjoy a complimentary dinner in appreciation of their service.

If you are a veteran or currently serving, or if you know someone in Carroll County who is, please take a moment to fill out the form below so we can properly recognize them and reserve their spot.

Join us June 27, 2026 on the Carroll County Courthouse Lawn as we come together to celebrate 250 years of American freedom and honor the veterans and active military personnel of Carroll County who have served and protected our nation.

This workshop will provide valuable information on preserving and rehabilitating historic properties, available resources, and how restoration efforts can strengthen our community while protecting our local heritage. Whether you are a property owner, business owner, or simply interested in the future of Carroll County, this is a great opportunity to learn more and get involved.

We encourage everyone to make plans to attend and be part of the conversation about preserving the history and character of our community.

Today we want to recognize and thank Traci Courtney for an incredible 32 years of dedicated service to the Carroll County Fiscal Court as she retires.

For more than three decades, Traci has faithfully served the citizens of Carroll County with professionalism, commitment, and care. Her hard work and dedication have made a lasting impact on our county government and the community we serve.

We are grateful for the many years she has given to Carroll County and for the countless contributions she has made behind the scenes to keep operations running smoothly.

Please join us in congratulating Traci on her well-deserved retirement and wishing her all the best in this next chapter!

The Carroll County Water District will be repairing a water leak at the intersection of Goose Creek Road and Buffalo Road this Friday, the 27th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and continuing through the afternoon.

The intersection will be closed during this time.

Motorists are advised to plan an alternate route and use caution in the surrounding area.

Please be advised that the Carroll County Courthouse is currently under construction as work continues on the bell tower restoration.

During this time, some walkways and entrances may be temporarily blocked or redirected for safety purposes.

Exercise caution around construction areas

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to preserve and improve our historic courthouse.

Opportunity for Local Business Owners

The Director of Government Services and Economic Development would like to share an exciting opportunity with business owners across Carroll County.

We are pleased to announce that Plate to Profit is returning in 2026, and registration is now open. Plate to Profit is a six-session virtual course designed to help restaurant owners improve operations, increase revenue, and strengthen workplace culture. The full program cost is $200 for all six sessions.
