Social Media Commenting Guidelines
Social media is an important tool for Harmony Public Schools, as a nonprofit charter school operator. Harmony Public Schools welcomes respectful, constructive dialogue on our social media channels. To maintain a safe, focused, and orderly environment for our students, families, and community, we reserve the right to moderate content at our sole discretion. We ma
y remove comments or restrict access for behavior that disrupts this environment. Examples of content subject to moderation include, but are not limited to:
- Disruptive or Harmful Speech: Such as profanity, vulgarity, harassment, threats, or defamation.
- Off-Topic or Commercial Content: Including spam, unsolicited advertisements, or comments unrelated to the original post.
- Violations of Law or Policy: Such as electioneering, platform terms-of-service violations, or the unauthorized disclosure of private student information (FERPA). Harmony Public Schools reserves the right to monitor all official social media properties. We retain absolute discretion to determine what content is inappropriate, remove posts, block or ban users, or modify these guidelines at any time—with or without notification—to protect our community and uphold our school values.
