Time to get your immunizations, school is just around the corner!!!

"Leaves of three, leave them be!"

Missourians hear about poison ivy and poison oak their entire lives, but avoiding a rash is easier said than done! After all, these plants can hide themselves very well among other brush and shrubs.

-Wear long sleeves and pants if you're going to be in woodsy areas known for these poisonous plants.
-If you come into contact with any type of poisonous plant, wash up with soap and water immediately.
-Always talk to your doctor if a rash gets out of control or develops abnormally.
-Look out for pets that may rub against poisonous plants, and bathe them if they come into contact!

: About 8 in 10 people have the allergy that results in a rash from the oils on poison ivy and poison oak! If you're one of the people who doesn't get a rash, consider yourself lucky!
