Hi Davis Families!
This year, our school will create a special Dia de los Mu***os ofrenda in our main hallway. We would love for our families to participate by sharing a photograph of a loved one who has passed away.
❓What is Dia de los Mu***os?
Dia de los Mu***os, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican tradition celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. It is a time to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us. Families create an ofrenda, or altar, with photographs, flowers, candles, food, water, and other meaningful items. These traditions help families keep the memories and stories of their loved ones alive.
❓How Can Your Family Participate?
Please send ONE photograph of a loved one who has passed away inside a picture frame. This may be a family member, friend, or anyone special your family would like to honor.
Please use a simple or inexpensive picture frame.
❌Do not send a valuable, expensive, or sentimental frame or anything that would be difficult to replace if accidentally damaged.
📝Please complete the form that was attached to the letter sent home this week.
📝Fill out the name card and attach it to the front picture frame.

❓¿Qué es el Día de los Mu***os?
El Día de los Mu***os es una tradición mexicana que se celebra el 1 y 2 de noviembre. Es un momento para recordar y celebrar las vidas de los seres queridos que ya no están con nosotros. Las familias crean una ofrenda, o altar, con fotografías, flores, velas, comida, agua y otros artículos significativos. Estas tradiciones ayudan a las familias a mantener vivos los recuerdos y las historias de sus seres queridos.
