Sometimes the smallest dogs need the biggest dose of patience. ❤️

Teddy Bear is a 1-year-old spayed female Shih Tzu mix who came to us as a stray. She was microchipped, but sadly, despite our efforts, her owner never came forward.

Now Teddy is working on something much bigger: building her confidence and learning that people and new experiences can be safe. 🥹

She's the kind of girl who needs you to slow down, give her time, and let her set the pace. She's not looking for someone to rush her into being a social butterfly overnight. She needs an understanding person who will celebrate the little victories and give her the patience she deserves. 🌱❤️

Because Teddy is still building confidence, we're looking for an experienced adopter or an approved 501(c)(3) rescue group who can make sure she goes into the right environment and has the support she needs to continue moving forward—not backward.
