CARROLLTON UTILITIES is accepting applications for employment for the position of Maintenance Worker I. The position has a starting rate of $19.50 or more dependent upon qualifications & experience. Job duties included performing semi-skilled and manual labor work activities in the construction, maintenance and repair of the gas, water, and sewer systems; reads meters; assists other departments as requested. The applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. The successful applicant must complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations and a background check. Must be able to obtain and maintain all gas operator qualification requirements and must obtain and maintain all water and/or wastewater licenses within one year after meeting experience requirements at each level as a condition of employment. Carrollton Utilities offers a very competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision & life insurance; paid holidays, sick, and vacation leave; along with participation in CERS non-hazardous state retirement.
