Help the Carrollton Fire Department honor the firefighters who were lost on September 11, 2001, with the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, September 5 at Grisham Stadium. Participants will carry a lanyard featuring the name and photo of a fallen FDNY firefighter while climbing the distance of the World Trade Center's 110 stories across the stadium's stands. The free event starts at 8am. On site registration starts at 7am. Go to carrolltonfiredepartment.com/9-11-stair-climb to sign up.

🚒🪢GEORGIA SEARCH AND RESCUE🪢🚒

Another quarterly training completed. This quarter we worked on Confined Space training. Working through 24” to 18” pipe into connex boxes, searching and rescuing 3 victims, atmospheric monitoring, communication, and ventilation were the main topics/areas covered.

Confined Space is an enclosed or partially enclosed area that is large enough for a person to enter, has limited or restricted ways to get in or out, and is not built for people to stay inside for extended periods. Within our city, there are countless confined spaces. We are prepared to take action in the event an emergency happens and we are needed‼️

As always, proud to work alongside our neighboring department, Carroll County Fire and Rescue, and all the other departments that were represented across Northwest Georgia. Thank you to Calhoun Fire Dept. for hosting this quarters training.
