We had the honor of showing a little about what we do everyday and the challenges we face in the Fire Service yesterday with Carrollton Elementary School 2nd grade class.

We love seeing the smiles on their faces and answering the questions that were asked‼️

🚒👨‍🚒CONGRATULATIONS 👨‍🚒🚒

Captain Jerry “Dude” Forrest retired yesterday after committing 3️⃣2️⃣ years to the City of Carrollton and our citizens‼️

He has seen many changes throughout his career, such as the old firehouse on Rome Street, multiple apparatus changes, multiple new stations, call volume now over 6,000 calls a year, numerous personnel changes, multiple Fire Chiefs and yet hung in there through it all!

Everyone please join us wishing Capt. Forrest a long and prosperous retirement‼️

The Carrollton Fire Department would like to THANK YOU for your 32 years of service, sleepless nights, time away from loved ones, and for every call you responded to. Also, we would like to THANK your family for allowing you to be with us every 3rd day for those 32 years. We know there were birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and many more events missed throughout those years and we do not take that for granted!

Also, we would like to thank the City Manager, City Council, and everyone else that showed up to support Capt. Forrest at his retirement party yesterday.
