Due to earlier storms the city of Carrollton has widespread power outages and also has widespread significant damage throughout the city. We ask for anyone who does not need to be out on the road to please stay home. We also asked that you only call 911 if you have structural damage from fallen trees or other emergencies that would require an emergency service response. All other calls should be directed to the non emergency administration lines

Several questions about the wall at Point Park that is currently transforming into a river mile marker sign. This sign was a collaboration of the city of Carrollton and the Carrollton/Carroll County tourism commission. This is a picture of what it will look like when it is completed.

FINAL UPDATE

Water service has been restored. The only business impacted with a boil water advisory is the library.

UPDATE

Fortunately at this time this water main rupture has only impacted one business. Crews are still working on the repair.

Several businesses and some residents in the downtown area are currently without water due to a ruptured water main. Carrollton utilities is on the scene and have started repairs. We are in the process of learning which businesses and residents are impacted. Further details will come as they are available and as we learn more. A boil water advisory is expected after repairs are complete

Several rounds of storms with heavy rain and possible straight line damaging winds have been forecasted starting tomorrow mid-morning through Thursday. Localized flash flooding should be expected at times throughout this 3 day event. Do not drive through flooded roadways. Stay weather aware and stay tuned to your favorite source of a local weather
