Carrollton Fire Department - Missouri

Carrollton Fire Department will be hosting a Fire 1&2 class (including Hazmat awareness and ops). Classes are scheduled to begin 1/16/24. We may start the course at the beginning of February, depending on number of student signups. If any firefighters are needing or interested in taking the course, please contact the Carrollton Fire Department @ 660-542-2178, for more information. The course will cost $800, due at the beginning of the course.

Tonight there will be a private fireworks display at the Rupe Center. The individual has a permit to do so.

Good evening everyone. First and foremost we are still having Fireworks. While shooting at home please use extra caution and be careful. Keep a waterhose nearby in case your grass or such catches fire. Be respectful of your neighbors. Keeping things safe and being responsible keeps us able to have the opportunity to shoot them at home. That said here is the ordinance on fireworks. Please follow them. Have a safe and happy 4th of July!!!!

CarrollTON'S of Fun Day

Steven Bankey & The Flatlander will be performing on July the 4th for CarrollTON'S of Fun Day from 7 to 9.

BIO
Steven Bankey & The Flatlander’s is a red dirt country band out of Kansas City, Mo. Heavily influenced by the grassroots country music movement originating in southern parts of Texas and Oklahoma. In their second year as a band they have already earned opening spots for some top national acts. Whiskey Myers, Granger Smith, Wh**ey Morgan, Ray Wiley Hubbard and Morgan Evans to name a few. They have really honed their live show playing at Firewater festival and Mid America Music festival.

Looking For Something more was their freshman record and was released under the label Tremulant Records out of North Carolina. “The Drifter” the albums single is featured on the Spotify Playlist’s “Playlist Texas” and “Its Country To Me”. “The Drifter” also featured a full length cinematic video shot and directed by Rivera Studios. Steven Bankey & The Flatlander’s are currently writing for their next album due to be released sometime early 2021.

Formed in 2018 Steven Bankey & The Flatlander’s may have only been a band for a short time but more than make up for it with it’s seasoned members. Steven Bankey fronts the band and brings with him rich vocals and a unique style of approaching rhythm guitar. Bankey has been writing songs for over a decade and his life experience’s can be found throughout the lyrics of the songs. Steven earned an American Songwriting Award on “Lightning In A Bottle”, a song for which he co-wrote, and it charted on both indie and major charts.
