The Ohio Secretary of State will be sending out absentee applications but has not yet begun that process. As always you can reach out to us with any questions you have. 330-627-2610 https://www.boe.ohio.gov/carroll/

PLEASE SHARE:
Many civic organizations are beginning to mail their absentee applications.

We have received many phone calls asking about the legitimacy of mail and whether it is from the Secretary of State. The SOS has *not yet* mailed absentee applications to registered voters.

We encourage you to look in the upper left corner to determine the source of the mailing, and remind you to look for the *official Election Mail flag* on mailings (pictured below). Items sent directly from the Board of Elections or SOS will display this official mail flag.

Many voters prefer to submit the SOS application. However, it will not make a difference if you choose to submit the 3rd party absentee application instead.

As a reminder, ballots will not be sent until after October 6, 2026.

We are receiving lots of questions regarding party affiliation. Currently, the only way to affiliate with a party is to vote in the primary election. Unaffiliating is a bit trickier but you can call us or visit with any questions or concerns. Regardless, you can vote for any candidate of your choosing in the November General Election.
