📬 Your Property Tax Bills Are on the Way!

Beginning today, the Greene County Treasurer's Office is mailing 2025 Real Estate Tax Bills and 2026 Mobile Home Tax Bills, both due in 2026.

We know tax season can bring questions, so we've put together our very first Public Information Series guide to make things a little easier. It includes important dates, payment options, office information, and other helpful reminders all in one place.

Look through the attached guide and keep it handy throughout the tax collection season.

I had a great time participating in the White Hall Lions Club Parade Friday night! We celebrated America's 250th birthday with a fantastic evening filled with fun, community spirit, and patriotism.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of their courage and dedication.

As we gather with loved ones, let us reflect on their legacy and strive to promote peace and unity. Their selflessness inspires us to cherish the freedoms we enjoy today.

I had a great time attending the Illinois County Treasurers' Association conference in Springfield.

The event began on April 21 with a welcome reception, giving everyone a chance to connect and ease into the conference.

April 22 featured a full agenda of useful sessions. The keynote by Nina Meehan focused on practical ways to improve communication in public service, with an emphasis on trust and clarity. Other sessions covered topics like managerial effectiveness, media relations, the role of the State’s Attorney, and an overview of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.

One of the highlights was the Scholarship Luncheon, where we recognized the accomplishments of several outstanding students.

On April 23, discussions included local government audits, the impact of late tax bills, and ways AI can be used in our day-to-day work. The conference wrapped up with a fun Wild West–themed dinner.

Overall, it was a valuable experience with plenty of helpful information and a good opportunity to connect with others in public service.
