The Board adopted a Proclamation in session this morning proclaiming September 2026 as National Su***de Prevention Month and September 13, 2026 through September 19, 2026, as National Su***de Prevention Week in Carroll County.

The Board welcomed the following visitors who shared information, statistics, and resources:
Lisa Winkler, Community Prevention Coordinator at the Carroll County General Health District, Ohio; Leslie Korns, Manager of Community Services at the Adamhs Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties; Angela Pavlik, Community Engagement Coordinator at the Carroll County General Health District, Ohio; Amy McGrath from Light after Loss at The Hope and Healing Center; Kara Corbett counseling trainee at CommQuest Services; Weslee Warner from Southeast Healthcare; Ed Hale, Lee Township resident; and Jen Burns, Carroll County Job and Family Services Director.

The Board would like to extend their appreciation to everyone who joined the meeting today to raise su***de awareness.

💧 Water Advisory

The Village of Carrollton would like to advise residents that discolored water may be experienced today due to a vehicle striking a fire hydrant at the corner of 5th Street and Canton Road.

Water pressure was never lost on the water main, so a boil alert is not required.

Residents are encouraged to use caution when doing laundry while discoloration is present.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The Board of Commissioners adopted a Retirement Proclamation for Corrections Officer Patti Wood in session this morning. Patti is retiring from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office Ohio after serving just over 31 years as a Corrections Officer.

Carroll County Auditor Staci Brady was in session this morning to share the news that Carroll County has been awarded the Auditor of State Award for Fiscal Year 2025 for excellence in financial reporting and compliance.

The Board would like to congratulate Ms. Brady and her staff and thank them for all the work they put into the yearly audit. This award is truly an honor to receive.
