Please see attached letter regarding new rate changes effective September 1, 2025. As said in the letter to all customers, these changes are necessary and do not come without many months of review, computing and agonizing over the best plan that works for everyone. With our aging systems, and both plants outdated and well past years of needed replacement, the Carrolltown Borough Municipal Authority has always recognized the need to do something about it....but because this need doesn't come without a small cost to all of us, the Authority Board took the time to compute rate changes that were necessary only and not a penny more. You must realize that small communities that do not keep up with their system repairs nor have a plan to keep our water and sewage plants operational, large companies will jump at the opportunity to take over our utilities, charging anywhere from $200 on up for flat rates alone and additional charges for usage, and there would be nothing we could do about it. We thank our residents for caring and supporting these changes that will allow the Water and Sewage Plants, and their systems to continue to be operational under our own community through the supervision of our Carrolltown Borough Municipal Authority, made up of a board of members who truly care and strive to keep our systems strong.

As you all know, we are in the process of replacing and updating all meters in town. Trouble is, we need updated phone numbers to contact you to have this done. All meters will be going online to an automated system within a year or two, which means, if you do not have an updated meter, and are not in the new system, chances are you won't be able to get water in your home. DONT GET LEFT OUT!! PLEASE UPDATE YOUR PHONE NUMBER with our office so we can MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to get your meter replaced! HELP US HELP YOU!!! Thank you so much!!

OUR CARROLLTOWN BOROUGH snow crew has been on the roads since midnight and have been doing their best to get the town plowed out. With the wind against them, they are doing their best to keep Carrolltown accessible. After a short break, they will be back on the roads to continue doing what they can so if you have not been plowed out, we ask you to please be patient, stay indoors if you don't have to be out and above all else, exercise extreme caution if you are on the walkways or roads.
