The DCNR 2nd Annual Kids to Work Day was a huge success! 🎉 Thank you to all the amazing kids who joined us for a full day of hands‑on learning, creativity, and outdoor fun.

From building Marshmallow Monuments and exploring the Carson Watershed, to learning why the air gets so smoky, kids jumped into activities that combined science, stewardship, and Nevada’s natural resources. They also had the chance to try plant pressing, cactus coloring, fish/sun printing, and our exciting Nevada Floods water table!

We wrapped up the day with a special Ice Cream Social featuring Carson Kit Fox and Smokey Bear, followed by a lively Fire Engine demonstration.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and to all the young explorers who brought so much energy to the day. We can’t wait for next year!
