The Nevada Secretary of State’s Office and Secretary Cisco Aguilar were proud to join the Walker River Paiute Tribe at the Pinenut Festival to share election information, including how eligible Tribal voters can use NVEASE, Nevada's Effective Absentee System for Elections.

The event included a special milestone: the first tribal voter to cast a ballot in the 2026 General Election using NVEASE did so at the festival!

So far, more than 450 Nevadans have used NVEASE to vote in this year’s General Election.

NVEASE is available to:

- Nevada uniformed service members and their families
- Citizens outside the United States
- Nevada residents with disabilities
- Tribal members who reside on a reservation or colony

A federal judge has blocked new U.S. Postal Service requirements that threatened to upend mail voting ahead of the 2026 general election.

Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar reports a decrease of 50,130 active registered voters during the month of August 2026 as compared to July 2026. The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 2,062,136, a decrease of (-2.37%). The decrease in active registered voters is largely due to list maintenance activities and often occurs ahead of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) 90-day quiet period before an election, which prohibits routine list maintenance activities until the election is over. Today’s ruling is a victory for Nevada voters and their privacy.

A federal court granted Secretary Aguilar’s motion to dismiss the DOJ’s lawsuit seeking Nevada’s unredacted voter rolls and denied DOJ’s motion to compel the records.

Nevada is the 22nd consecutive state or jurisdiction to prevail against this effort. The Secretary of State will continue protecting voters’ personal information while maintaining accurate voter rolls and administering secure elections.

The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 2,112,266 an increase of (0.92%). The Secretary of State’s Office also provides monthly reports on the number of inactive voters in Nevada.
