Sen. McConnell's Long Absence Illustrates the Need for Term Limits

Sen. Mitch McConnell’s long absence from the Senate and lack of communication with his constituents illustrates a major problem with career politicians and Washington’s political system. Term limits are needed!

McConnell missed 60 Senate roll-call votes over roughly two months while recovering from an undisclosed health issue. He deserves sympathy for his health problems, but he still has a responsibility to communicate with Kentuckians and demonstrate that he can perform his duties.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear asked McConnell to publicly update constituents about his health and, if unable to serve, resign. McConnell did not respond.

Saving Nevada from Constitutional Misinformation

Nevada’s GOP Party Platform has a problem. It claims to support the Constitution of the United States. But at the same time, it opposes Article V of the Constitution. Michael Barbuto, District Captain for Convention of States in Nevada, says that makes no sense. Barbuto is undeterred; in fact, he proudly incorporates COS into everything he does, determined to reverse his state’s mystifying stance on the Article V convention clause.

COS Has Great Success in 2026 Primaries!

The Convention of States (COS) movement has greatly expanded its political influence this year by becoming more active in state legislative primary elections. COS-backed candidates won 47 primary races across Wyoming, Idaho, Iowa, South Dakota, Montana, and Nebraska, including victories over several lawmakers who opposed the organization’s Article V convention application.
