This year, Great Basin National Park celebrates its 40th anniversary 🎉

To mark the milestone, the Great Basin National Park Foundation launched a monthly virtual speaker series sharing the stories that make the park so extraordinary.

📅 August 12 | 6:00 p.m. PST

Celebrate the 10th anniversary of first light at the Great Basin Observatory by hearing from students who have used the observatory for research, along with collaborative partner professors from the University of Nevada, Reno and Southern Utah University.

This incredible museum plays an important role in preserving and sharing Nevada's history and culture, and we're thrilled to see its stories now reaching audiences around the world. Here's to connecting more people with the rich heritage of the Silver State.

It is official! The Stewart Indian School Cultural Center & Museum is now officially apart of Bloomberg Connects () a division of Bloomberg Philanthropies (). This links us with cultural institutions around the world and makes the story of Stewart and the celebration of contemporary Great Basin Indigenous culture available in over 40 languages. This July, Resilience in the Desert: Walker Lake & Bighorn Sheep brings the work of 20 artists to THE BIGHORN CROSSING on the shores of Walker Lake.

Featuring various mediums of artwork, the free month-long exhibition explores the beauty, resilience, and future of one of Nevada's most iconic lakes. Presented in partnership with Reno Artown and the Walker Basin Conservancy.

Now in its second year, the 2026 Stewards Fund will have more than double the impact thanks to a matching contribution from Expedia, helping support even more trail projects worldwide.
