Phillip “PK” O’Neill is a 40 year veteran law enforcement official and current Nevada State Assemblyman for District 40. Upon graduating he attended Miami Dade Community College and worked for the City of Miami Police Department. PK later moved to Northern Nevada where he graduated from Sierra Nevada College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management

c safety and has over 30 years of experience working in Nevada as a law enforcement official, agency administrator, and criminal investigator. Governor Kenny Guinn appointed PK to SEARCH, a national consortium for the sharing of criminal justice information. PK has been an active member of the Nevada Sheriff 's & Chief's Association, the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association, and the Native American Law Enforcement Association. In 1997, PK married his wife Nancy who works for Nevada's Division of Child and Family Services, they have been active in the St. Teresa community--volunteering and supporting scholarship funds for children in need. He and Nancy enjoy motorcycling and touring the countryside together.

Friends,
Unfortunately, I need to announce that our fundraiser scheduled for tonight, September 9th, will be postponed. The Governor has declared a state of emergency due to the Davis Fire. With the uncertainty of what has already occurred and what may still be in store I must devote my attention to the well being of our community.
My heart goes out to all of those affected, to those evacuated and those without power. Several families have lost their homes due to this tragedy. Nancy and I will continue to pray for those affected by the Davis fire, and our first responders. If I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out at [email protected] or 775-400-1050.

Education is important to all of us. Don't you all think that parents, children, and families deserve the opportunity to choose the best education for our children?

I'll never understand why my colleagues on the other side of the isle stand in the way of any true education reform. They continually refuse to fund any substantial educational initiatives that empower low income and working parents to provide a better education for their children.
