📚🎒 Back-to-School Clothing Giveaway Continues!

The Salvation Army Carson City Corps had a great turnout yesterday and still has plenty of clothing available for local families.

Join us Thursday, July 30, from 2–4 p.m. for a One-Bag Shopping Spree featuring new boys’ and girls’ clothing in a variety of ages and sizes, plus some jackets and shoes.

✅ One bag per child (bag provided)
✅ Sign up that day
✅ Bring ID for each adult and proof of guardianship for each child

Supplies are available while they last. We look forward to seeing you there!

El Salvation Army Carson City Corps tuvo una gran participación ayer y todavía cuenta con mucha ropa disponible para las familias de la comunidad.

Acompáñenos el jueves 30 de julio, de 2 a 4 p.m., para nuestro evento de “Una Bolsa por Niño”, con ropa nueva para niñas y niños de diferentes edades y tallas, además de algunas chaquetas y zapatos.

✅ Una bolsa por niño (nosotros proporcionamos la bolsa)
✅ Inscripción el mismo día
✅ Traiga identificación para cada adulto y comprobante de tutela o custodia para cada niño

With wildfire season underway across our region, now is a great time to make sure you have an emergency kit prepared for you and your loved ones. Having essential supplies ready can help you stay safe and be prepared if an evacuation or emergency occurs.

Consider including the following items in your emergency kit:

✅ Water (1 gallon per person, per day — enough for 3 days if evacuating and up to 2 weeks if sheltering at home)
✅ Non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food
✅ Cash
✅ Flashlight
✅ Battery-powered or hand-crank radio
✅ Camping stove and fuel
✅ Extra batteries
✅ First-aid kit
✅ Medications (7-day supply) and other medical necessities
✅ Multi-purpose tool
✅ Personal hygiene and sanitation items
✅ Cell phone and chargers
✅ Family and emergency contact information
✅ Emergency blankets and/or sleeping bags
✅ Copies of important documents, including insurance policies, identification, birth certificates, passports, proof of address, and medical information
