Here are the estimated start times for our incoming weather tonight!
Regarding the incoming squall line from Wisconsin, here are the estimated start times for this first squall line this evening, June 10th, 2026. Posted at 4:15 pm EDT.
As mentioned earlier today, it appears the solution that this lead squall will have redevelopment behind it after midnight is coming true. This first squall will be expected to have the strongest damaging winds, likely in the ballpark of 60-70 mph. Isolated instances of 1" hail, and perhaps a quick spin up or two are also not out of the question. This line will gradually weaken with time, and may not produce damaging winds east of US-127, but we cannot say this for certain given how much lingering storm fuel is sitting unused this afternoon. Storms should be in the western UP and LP before 7:30 pm, passing through Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Traverse City by 8 pm, moving towards the Ga***rd to Jackson region by 9 pm, and eventually the remainder of the east side by 9-11 pm.
Additional redevelopment as individual cells or more squall lines are possible after midnight, moving in from west to east again, but this lead line will likely steal most of the storm fuel. This may also be a good thing for overworking the atmosphere for Thursday, but as of right now, Thursday still appears to be a high-end event. We won't know how the atmosphere is recovering until early-afternoon tomorrow. Regardless, it's likely an all-nighter from us here at Michigan Storm Chasers, so if you live here in the state of Michigan and need free live severe weather coverage at the push of a button on your mobile device, PC, or TV, follow us on YouTube, Facebook, X, TikTok, or Twitch TV today.
