Planning repairs or improvements to your manufactured home? A good first step is finding out whether your project requires a permit. 🏠

Many common projects, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural changes, home installations, and accessory structures, require a permit before work begins. 🔨 Permits help ensure the work is completed safely and that the appropriate inspections and documentation are in place throughout the process.

Depending on your project, approved plans, labels, or additional documentation may also be required before final approval.

Before you start your next project, visit the Nevada Manufactured Housing website to learn about permit requirements and inspections:

What happens after you file a manufactured housing complaint? 🏡

When a complaint is submitted to the Nevada Housing Division, our Compliance team follows a process to review the information, determine whether a violation may have occurred, and investigate when appropriate. Depending on the circumstances, additional documentation may be requested, corrective actions may be required, and enforcement actions may be taken when necessary.

In this video, Compliance Investigator Frank Nunnelee explains how the complaint process works and how the Division's goal is to help protect consumers and tenants while working toward a resolution whenever possible.

If you have questions about manufactured housing or believe you may need to file a complaint, contact the Nevada Housing Division to learn about your options.

Did you know free home energy upgrades may be available to qualifying families in North Las Vegas? 🏠

The Rural Nevada Development Corporation is offering energy-saving improvements at no cost to eligible households through a $4.6 million grant. Upgrades can include insulation, HVAC systems, windows, doors, carbon monoxide detectors, and appliance replacements, all designed to help lower utility bills and improve comfort at home.

For North Las Vegas resident Nicola Williams, the program came at the right time. With electricity bills reaching $400, she sees it as a necessary resource for her community, especially for longtime residents on fixed incomes who cannot afford repairs on their own.

So far, 45 homes in Clark County have already received upgrades totaling more than $600,000. Once approved, each home is evaluated to determine which upgrades are eligible. If you think you may qualify, do not wait to reach out. 💙 Read the full story from KTNV Channel 13 Las Vegas:
