The Nevada Housing Division was proud to join housing professionals and partners from across the state at the Nevada Housing Coalition’s Nevada Housing Conference. 🏠

On Day 1, Administrator Steve Aichroth participated in the “Beyond the Blueprint: Designing Housing Policy” plenary panel, sharing insights on Nevada’s housing landscape and the work underway to support our state’s housing future.

The conversation focused on housing affordability and supply, development activity across Nevada, emerging trends, land opportunities, and how local, state, and federal policy can help create more stable, attainable housing options for Nevada households.

Thank you to the Nevada Housing Coalition for bringing together voices from across the housing community to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and continue important conversations about Nevada’s housing needs. 💙

If you were affected by the Bug or Hawk Fires, you may be eligible for federal disaster assistance through the U.S. Small Business Administration. 🏠💙

The SBA is offering low-interest federal disaster loans to help eligible homeowners and renters recover from physical losses related to the fires:

• Homeowners: Apply for up to $500,000 to repair or replace your primary residence.
• Homeowners and renters: Apply for up to $100,000 to repair or replace personal property such as furniture, clothing, vehicles, and appliances.

SBA representatives will be available starting September 18 at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center at North Valleys Library in Reno to answer questions and assist with applications in person.

Physical damage applications are due November 10, 2026, so it can help to explore your options and apply as soon as you are ready.
