Cartersville Municipal Court This is the official page for the City of Cartersville Municipal Court. Cartersville Municipal Court is the judicial branch of the government of Cartersville.

Municipal court is responsible for processing all traffic citations, local ordinance violations, and Uniform Misdemeanor Citations that occur within the city limits of Cartersville. It is also responsible for collecting fines and fees, preparing court dockets, entering dispositions, and forwarding information to the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS). If you have questions about your case

, or wish to make payments in person, please visit the 2nd Floor of City Hall, and the window for Municipal Court. We are also available by phone at 770-607-6307 or email at [email protected]. The Court Clerk's Office is open Tuesday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We are closed for lunch between 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM. The Court Clerk's Office is CLOSED on Mondays. We are not available by phone or email on Mondays. Court is held Mondays in the City Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall. Please see your citation or reschedule notice for your court time. If you wish to pay your citation before court, it must be paid BEFORE your court date. You may also make payments online at www.ezcourtpay.com

Just a quick reminder that Municipal Court is being held today as scheduled on the third floor of City Hall. If you have a court time for today, please make sure to attend.

Also, please note that our Clerk’s Office will not be available by phone or email on Mondays (court day), as the clerk will be assisting in the courtroom.

Municipal Court will be closing at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
We will re-open at 8:00 AM on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Beginning April 1, 2022 the Regular Session for Municipal Court will begin at 2:00 pm. Regular session will still be held on Mondays. Beginning on the same date, the court office window on the second floor of Cartersville City Hall will close at 12:00 pm on Mondays. If you wish to pay your fines before court, payment must be received BEFORE 12:00 pm on your court date.

We are a little late to posting the party (we were busy hosting and celebrating our Dee!), but we want to honor our Clerk of Court Dorothy Carson and congratulate her on her well-deserved retirement. Dorothy worked for the City of Cartersville for 38 years. Her kindness, guidance, and dedication set the example to be followed in the future and will always be cherished by those fortunate enough to have worked with her. We admire her strength, grace, and positive attitude, we will miss having her in the office every day. Dee was more than just our boss, she was our mentor, role model, second mom, and friend. We wish her the best in her retirement. We love you Dee!
