We are excited to have our Earth Day Festival April 25th. We have some great programs scheduled in the Nature Center. Etowah Valley Exotics will have 3 programs between 10:00am-2:00pm. Come out and see Josh’s great collection of reptiles!
E-bird/ Merlin bird ID app program. Learn how to use the app, understanding migration patterns and much more from one of the leading experts. Etowah River Alliance- information on the Importance of the Etowah River Basin and the different Darter fish that are only found in this basin. Activities for the kids( aquatic study at the lake pavilion with games. Food, music, vendors and much more!

Come join us Saturday, March 14th, for our 2nd Saturday event and open house.
We want teachers, homeschoolers, parents to see firsthand our environmental/ nature programs and field trips that we offer. Gates open at 9:00am. We will have presentations from 9:30am-11:30am, then taking a tour of the grounds. 70 acres of beautiful forest, lake, hiking trails and much more! Wear your hiking attire, water, snack and have a day enjoying The Pettit Environmental Preserve!
