It was my honor to give a tour of Red Oak II to the amazing Knell family today! I am so fortunate to have befriended Susan & Lloyd and to have learned more about the deep Knell legacy in Carthage, MO.

Emma Knell once lived in this house, now located across the pond from my own. This pioneering powerhouse of a woman was one of the first female legislators & embalmers in the state of Missouri, sponsored a bill founding the Highway Patrol, and served on the Roads & Highway Committee in 1926 that helped construct Route 66!

Once again, I received ZERO help with yard work from these lazy bums!
