We are excited to introduce our 2026 summer intern, Megan Needham! Megan is a rising senior at NC State University studying Agriculture Education with a minor in Crop Science and Extension Education as part of the NC State Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences! She grew up on a farm in Moore County and is a graduate of Union Pines High School .

This summer, she looks forward to learning about extension to help guide her future career plans. During her internship, she will learn about all aspects of extension, including livestock, horticulture, 4-H, and more!

After graduation, Megan plans to pursue a career in Ag education, either as a high school agriculture teacher or an extension employee. We are so grateful to have her at our office this summer!
