Moore County Schools recently hosted its third annual STEM and Technology Awards Day, recognizing outstanding students, educators, and programs that are helping shape the future through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Congratulations to Pinecrest High School senior Reece Carlson and North Moore High School senior Emma Morgan, recipients of the 2026 Frick Technology Achievement Awards. Their accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to excellence exemplify the bright future of STEM education.
We congratulate the West Pine Middle School robotics team, โZero Sugar Cherry Dr Pepper 2,โ for earning first place in the district's Middle School Robotics Competition by demonstrating exceptional programming, engineering, and problem-solving skills.
Additionally, we are proud to recognize Kathy Slate of The Community Learning Center at Pinckney as the 2026 STEM and Computer Science Teacher of the Year for her dedication to inspiring students through innovative and engaging learning experiences.
A special thank you to Mr. Ed Frick for his continued investment in our students and to Interim Superintendent Jenny Purvis for highlighting the importance of STEM education in preparing students for tomorrow's opportunities.
