The City of Carthage would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Vacation Bible School Mission Team from First Methodist Church Carthage for spending their morning serving our community at Davis Park.

The group volunteered their time to paint park tables and benches, helping keep Davis Park beautiful and welcoming for all to enjoy.

Thank you to the students, volunteers, and leaders for giving back to our community and making a positive impact.

A cell phone and a pair of children's prescription eyeglasses were recently found at Davis Park.

If you believe either of these items belongs to you or your child, please come by City Hall to identify and claim them.

The City of Carthage is saddened to learn of the passing of former Mayor and City Commissioner Carson Joines.
Mr. Joines dedicated many years of service to our community, helping guide and support the growth of Carthage through his leadership and commitment to public service. His contributions and care for our city will not be forgotten.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Joines family, friends, and all who knew and loved him during this difficult time.
