Melita Finney and Cheryl Underwood invite everyone to the Friends of the Library program, 6.00 pm on Monday, May 4 at the new library building. They also encourage everyone to become an official Friends of the Library member by completing a form and paying a small membership fee.

Since the Carthage Christmas Open House has been postponed, we've extended the deadline for purchasing raffle tickets through December 18. We will draw the winners on December 19.

This is National Friends of Libraries Week. Support the Carthage Public Library District by becoming a member of the Friends - forms are available at the library.
Volunteers are still needed this week for the library's annual patron count.
Donations are needed for our Gift Basket Fundraiser.

Please bring donations of gift items and baskets to the library by the end of October. The Friends are meeting at 5:00 pm on November 3 to put baskets together. Additional help would be welcome.

Gift Basket Raffle Fundraiser. 2025 will be our last gift basket raffle to raise money for furnishings for the new library. We are currently accepting donations of baskets or other containers as well as gift items to put in baskets. Please have all donations to the library before Halloween. We love it when groups or individuals put together an entire basket. Please let us know the general contents/theme in October, so we don't duplicate, then take the completed basket to the library by November 6. [Photo shows a few of the baskets from our 2024 raffle.]

We are able to keep the coin spiral funnel for September too!! Thanks to Maple Avenue Christian Church of Macomb for loaning it to us! We collected almost $40 in August.
