The NC State Fair is quickly approaching, from October 15-25, 2026, and we are excited to announce the NC State Fair 4-H Competitions!

- 4-H Entomology
- County 4-H Hay Bale: (1 entry per county)

🍀Online Entry Deadline: September 14, 2026
🍀Mailed Entry Deadline: September 1, 2026

🍀Exhibit Drop Off
- Saturday, October 10 from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Sunday, October 11 from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Monday, October 12 from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon
Hay bale decorating must be completed from Saturday, October 10 through Monday, October 12.

Competition is open to North Carolina residents only, and youth must be registered in 4-H online. Two entries per exhibitor, per class.

Pickin in the Pines is Millstone 4-H Camp's benefit concert to raise money for next year's camp scholarships and many more years to come! Your ticket includes performances by The Red Camel Collective and Amanda Cook, food, drinks, a silent auction, and a good time!

Moore County 4-H is looking for Shooting Sports VOLUNTEERS🏹!

Many youth throughout the county are interested in getting involved in the 4-H Shooting Sports program, but we need volunteers to help us facilitate it! If you have any experience with fi****ms and would like to influence the next generation, please keep reading!

🍀Requirements for Volunteers:
1. Enroll in 4-H and complete a 4-H Background Check
2. Provide 3 References
3. Attend 4-H Youth Shooting Sports Instructor Training (paid for by Moore County 4-H)

🍀The program works with ages 8-18, in different disciplines including: archery, air pistol, small bore pistol, rifle, air rifle, shotgun, and muzzle loading. You can be trained in all of the disciplines, or only a few; whatever you are up for!

4-H Sewing Club is back in session! We welcome everyone to attend the club's interest meeting in September. Join us for a fun night of tie-dye, learning about this year's projects, and making new friends!🧵🧶

The 4-H Sewing Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM. They work on projects from hand sewing and embroidery to machine sewing. The club is led by Mrs. Ellen, a former 4-H'er!
