We were proud to have this little, future policeman yesterday. He said he wants to be a policeman one day. He was proud to get to meet some real life policeman & to get his badge. Thank you for the gift of donuts.

Monday, July 20 brought much unwanted excitement to Carthage. Many were asking what all the sirens were for. What started as a disturbance between two individuals ended up with one in jail and two cars wrecked; one City of Carthage police vehicle and one suspect vehicle. The great news is no one was seriously hurt.

A Haircut That Cost $249.99…

On Saturday, July 18, a Leake County man went to a local merchant and shoplifted a set of clippers. The merchant, along with his surveillance system identified the vehicle that the suspect was riding in. Officers Coby Clay and Michael Sistrunk quickly located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. The suspect was taken into custody & the clippers were able to be returned to the merchant. After all of this, the clippers were never used.
