We want to take a moment to spotlight Robyn, our Clerk in the Joplin office handling Ex Parte and Protection Orders. Her work is vital in helping people navigate some of the most difficult and challenging moments in their lives.

Robyn brings a positive attitude, compassion, and a willingness to help every day. Her dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to serving others make her an invaluable part of our team.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Robyn enjoys helping people through some of the hardest moments in their lives with patience, understanding, and a whole lot of paperwork.

What’s an accomplishment you’re proud of?
Building her confidence while working domestic cases where every detail counts and becoming someone her colleagues can count on.

What’s a fun fact about you?
Robyn may be organized at work, but she still has a junk drawer at home that’s a work in progress.

What motivates you at work?
“My family is my ‘why.’ They are my biggest motivation, making it easier to work hard and remain focused. And the paycheck is a good motivator too, making it easier to clock back in.”

What’s your favorite hobby or activity outside of work?
If it involves fresh air and a little adventure, Robyn is probably interested!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Instant knowledge! She could immediately answer questions, find missing information, and know exactly where every form is hiding, basically Google without the loading screen.

What’s your go-to comfort food?
Taco Tuesday is always a win!

Thank you, Robyn, for your hard work, positivity, and dedication. Your willingness to help others and support your team does not go unnoticed. We appreciate all that you do! Kimberly Clinton, Circuit Clerk

Employee Spotlight: Rhiannon

We’re proud to take a moment to recognize Rhi, a valued member of our team here in the Jasper County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

Her favorite part of the job is working alongside a spectacular team, and her proudest accomplishment is being a mother to her “little legend” of a son. Rhi enjoys helping our community and her coworkers while setting personal goals each day and accomplishing them. Outside of work, she loves junk journaling, crafting, thrifting, camping, taking weekend getaways to Arkansas, and spending time with the people she loves. A fun fact about Rhi is that she was named after a Fleetwood Mac song! If she could have any superpower, it would be time manipulation, and her favorite comfort foods are spaghetti, fried chicken, Lay’s Potato Chips, and chocolate chip cookies.

Thank you, Rhi, for your hard work, dedication, and the positive attitude you bring to our office each day. Your willingness to help your coworkers and the citizens we serve does not go unnoticed. We are grateful to have you as part of the Jasper County Circuit Clerk’s Office team.

🇺🇸 Starting tonight, the Missouri State Capitol dome will shine red, white, and blue to celebrate Independence Day and America's 250th anniversary. 🇺🇸

The Fourth of July is a reminder of what brings us together as Americans. It's a time to celebrate our nation, our communities, and the freedoms we cherish.

Whether you're enjoying a hometown parade, gathering with family, watching fireworks, or traveling to our capital city, we hope you'll join us in celebrating our nation's birthday.

We are saddened by the passing of Teddy Steen.

Teddy made a lasting impact on our community and touched many lives through her dedication to helping others. Many within our court system had the privilege of working with her and witnessing her compassion and commitment firsthand.

Please keep her family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers.

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our founder and Executive Director, Teddy Steen.

Teddy was the heart of The ROCC and ASCENT. She built this organization with fierce love, deep conviction, and an unwavering belief in people and the power of recovery. She showed up every day with honesty, humor, and a kind of courage that could not be taught.

To know Teddy was to be encouraged, challenged, and cared for all at once. She celebrated others loudly, told the truth when it mattered, and never stopped fighting for the mission she believed in. Her impact on this community, and on each of us personally, is immeasurable.

We are devastated by this loss, and we know many of you are too. While our hearts are heavy, we are committed to honoring Teddy by continuing the work she started and carrying her vision forward.

We ask for your prayers, love, and patience for her family, our staff, and all those grieving her deeply.

If Teddy touched your life in any way, we’d love to hear those stories below. 💙

Employee Spotlight: Daphne Bass

This week we are excited to spotlight Daphne Bass!

Daphne plays an important behind-the-scenes role in helping keep the courtroom running smoothly and efficiently. She enjoys supporting and training her coworkers as the court system continues to grow and adapt, and she is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside great colleagues and a wonderful Judge.

Outside of work, Daphne is proud of raising her family with her husband, Bryce, and strives to be someone others can always depend on. She enjoys serving alongside her husband as pastors at The Hill Church, investing in their church community, and encouraging others.

Fun fact: Daphne is always up for some 90’s hits and a little dancing.

What motivates her at work is making sure everything is done correctly and runs smoothly, helped along by coffee and 7 Brew.

Her favorite comforts include a 7 Brew energy drink or a good steak and baked potato.

Thank you, Daphne, for your dedication, positivity, and all you do each day!
