Pemiscot County Port Authority Pemiscot County Port Authority The ice-free, slack-water harbor is 4,680 feet in length with a 300 foot turning basin at the upper end.

The harbor is maintained at the same depth as the navigation channel in the Mississippi River and is dredged annually by Corps of Engineers.

Dredge Pontchartrain was recently at the mouth of Pemiscot County Port Authority’s harbor. The dredge finished up Monday, concluding eight days of dredging, and will head south to Osceola, AR. We are thankful for the efforts of the Pontchartrain crew, and the US Army Corps of Engineers for their assistance in maintaining navigation on the US Inland Waterways.
