🚴‍♂️ Traffic Advisory – Best Buddies Challenge Ride 🚴‍♀️

The Carver Police Department would like to advise residents and motorists that participants in the Best Buddies Challenge will be traveling through the Town of Carver today on their way to Cape Cod.

Cyclists are expected to pass through town between approximately 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Motorists should anticipate an increased number of bicyclists on local roadways during this time and are encouraged to use extra caution, reduce speed when appropriate, and provide cyclists with plenty of space when passing.

Please be patient, stay alert, and help us ensure a safe event for all participants and travelers. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

The Carver Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Laicey Ieronimo on being recognized as the recipient of the 2026 Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement (MAWLE) Spirit of MAWLE Award for Community Service.

This award recognizes a woman in law enforcement who distinguishes herself through outstanding accomplishments involving community engagement, leadership, and service.

Officer Ieronimo embodies the true spirit of this award through her dedication to the people of Carver and beyond. Whether participating in fundraising efforts supporting important causes throughout the Commonwealth, mentoring younger females as a “Big Sister,” or building positive relationships throughout our community, Officer Ieronimo consistently goes above and beyond both in and out of uniform.

Her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to serving others make her a tremendous role model and an outstanding representative of the Carver Police Department.

Congratulations, Officer Ieronimo. We are proud of you and thankful for the positive impact you continue to make every day.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. Because of their sacrifice, we are able to live freely each and every day. We thank all of our fallen heroes and keep their families in our thoughts this Memorial Day.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our local Veterans, Carver Police Honor Guard, the Carver Fire Department Honor Guard, Massachusetts Department of Correction Honor Guard, the Carver Girl Scouts and boys scouts, and Carver Select Board for proudly marching in today’s Memorial Day tribute. Your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to honoring our nation’s heroes helped make today’s ceremony truly meaningful.

The members of the Carver Police Department extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and brothers and sisters of Robert Kilduff Jr, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty while battling a fire in Dorchester lastnight.

Before answering the call as a firefighter, Robert honorably served our country as a United States Marine. His life was one of service, courage, and sacrifice to both his nation and his community.

We thank him for his dedication and selfless service. Please keep his loved ones and the members of the Boston Fire Department in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. 🇺🇸

Due to the forecasted inclement weather, the Carver Memorial Day Parade scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled.

While we are disappointed we cannot gather as a community, we remain deeply grateful for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

Please take a moment tomorrow to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓

Today, we had the honor of escorting the graduating seniors to Carver Elementary School for a special parade and walk-through. It was amazing to see the excitement from all the teachers, staff, and students at CES cheering them on.

We are grateful to have been a part of such a memorable and meaningful event.
