This week we celebrated a wonderful day for Cary at the ribbon cutting for the White Oak Foundation, Inc. Townhomes.
This project brings 30 new townhomes to Cary m, with 15 reserved for households earning 80% or less of the Area Median Income. It’s also part of a larger vision that includes a childcare center already serving families today and plans for 60 affordable senior housing units in the future. A partnership with The Carying Place also provides transitional housing as well! 🏠
Projects like this are exactly what we need to see more of, and they happen through strong partnerships and a shared commitment to ensuring Cary remains a community where people of different ages, incomes, and life stages can live and thrive.
The Town of Cary, NC helped make this vision possible with $1 million toward pre-development costs financing for the townhomes, and gap financing and support for the future senior housing development. The White Oak Foundation’s long-standing commitment to serving our community continues to make a meaningful difference!
Congratulations to the White Oak Foundation, our Wake County partners, all of the donors and faith community and everyone who helped bring this project from vision to reality. We truly celebrated more than these townhomes, celebrated opportunity, stability, and a stronger community for generations to come. To our new neighbors - Welcome Home. ❤️🏡 (Brittany Richards - Cary Town Council District A, Michelle Craig for Cary Town Council District B, Bella Huang - Cary Town Council District C, Sarika Bansal - Cary Town Council, Susan Evans - Wake County Commissioner, Cheryl for Wake Commissioner, Wake County Government, Wiley Nickel, Mayor TJ, Jacques Gilbert, Mayor of Apex, NC)
