The Caryville Police Department is asking for your help in making our roadways safer before another life is changed forever.

The 4-lane intersections along US 25W within Caryville continue to be some of the busiest and most dangerous traffic areas in our community. With summer travel increasing, interstate traffic rising, and more residents and visitors on the road, the risks become even greater.

Far too often, crashes happen because of distracted driving, speeding, following too closely, or simply failing to slow down and pay attention at intersections.

This is more than traffic enforcement. This is about protecting families. This is about preventing serious injuries. This is about saving lives.

We are asking every driver traveling through Caryville to:

• Slow down approaching intersections
• Stay off your phone while driving
• Watch for turning vehicles and pedestrians
• Leave extra stopping distance
• Drive patiently and responsibly

A few extra seconds of caution can prevent a lifetime of tragedy.

Our officers will continue proactive patrols and traffic safety efforts along US 25W, but true roadway safety starts with every person behind the wheel.

Please help us keep Caryville safe.
