Juzo (A285888): The Handsomest Fetch Champion with a Deadline ⏳🎾❤️

I have a deadline of June 3rd at 4pm… and I’m really hoping it’s not the end of my story, but the start of a brand new one.

My name is Juzo—and I’ve got one serious job interview ready: professional ball chaser, full-time good boy.

I’m a 4-year-old, 70lb Lab/Am Staff mix with a red coat, a big heart, and an even bigger toy drive. If you throw it, I will retrieve it. If you throw it again, I will assume you’ve made the best life decision ever. Repeat indefinitely.

I didn’t end up here by choice—I was surrendered when my owner moved out and left me behind in December 2025. Since then, I’ve been holding onto hope (and my love of fetch), but after 5 months in the shelter, I’ll be honest… kennel life is starting to wear on me. I’m still friendly and happy outside my kennel, but I’m getting very stressed waiting for my person.

I’m housebroken, kennel trained, and I’ve lived with kids 6+ before, so I already know how to be a solid family guy. I just need my person to see past the kennel door and meet the real me—the goofy, loyal, fetch-obsessed best friend I’m meant to be. I do need to be your one and only pet, but I promise I’ll make up for it by being your most loyal fetch partner, couch buddy, and best friend

I’ll be right here at Pinal County Animal Care and Control, waiting with my tail ready and my heart wide open. 🎾

What a few weeks of TLC can do.

Cameron A290201 is the perfect example of this.

He came to PCACC near the end of April in rough shape.

Now he is ready to live inside a home and get the royal treatment.

Max Needs a Soft Place to Land—Before Time Runs Out 💔🐾

Max (A290148) has a deadline of Wednesday, June 3rd at 4:00 PM, and this 12-year-old neutered German Shepherd really needs your help.

He came to PCACC in May after being surrendered when his family could no longer keep him. Max has spent his whole life outside, and now he’s hoping his final chapter is finally warm, quiet, and full of care.

This sweet senior is looking for a calm retirement home where he can slow down and simply be loved. He’s lived without other dogs in his previous home, but has been polite and friendly when meeting medium to large dogs.

Max is carrying a lot for his age—an old untreated ACL injury and significant arthritis in his knee and spine that affects his hind legs. He will need ongoing pain management and long-term care. PCACC will provide 3 months of medication upon adoption/transfer to help him transition.

At 12 years old, Max isn’t asking for much—just comfort, kindness, and a soft bed after a lifetime of being tough. He’s sweet. He’s gentle. And he’s running out of time.

Please come and meet Max at Pinal County Animal Care and Control.

Rocky (A288593) — A sweet, goofy boy running out of time - deadline of Wednesday June 3rd at 4pm 💔🐾

Rocky is the kind of dog who walks into a room (or a yard, or a heart) and somehow makes everything feel a little brighter. At about 1.5 years old, this male American Staffordshire Terrier/Siberian Husky mix is all charm, enthusiasm, and “hi… are we best friends now?”

He was surrendered in March when his family could no longer care for three large dogs. Before the shelter, Rocky mostly lived outdoors, but he adjusted well when brought inside and even did great with crate time during bad weather. He’s lived with kids, is very friendly with people, and has been affectionate and social with staff and volunteers.

Outside the kennel, Rocky is pure joy—he loves walks, loves attention, and leans right into every bit of human connection he can get. Inside the kennel is where things get hard for him. The stress has caused him to pace, spin, and crash into his space as he struggles with confinement. It’s not who he is—it’s what the kennel environment is doing to him.

He’s also been friendly with other dogs at the shelter, though he’s still learning social skills since he mostly grew up with his siblings. What he does know for sure: people are amazing, walks are the highlight of the day, and being this handsome should probably come with its own fan club.

Rocky is on a deadline of Wednesday, June 3rd at 4pm. He needs out of the shelter environment where he can finally settle, breathe, and just be the happy young dog he already is outside of his kennel.

Come meet Rocky. One walk, one moment, one hello might be all it takes for him to change from “running out of time” to “running right into your life.”

🐾 Winslow Needs Your Help! 🐾

Winslow (A289269) is a 2-year-old, male American Staffordshire Terrier / Dutch Shepherd mix who is running out of time—he’s on a deadline of Wednesday, June 3rd.

Winslow came in as a stray in March 2026 and has shown so many wonderful traits. He was reportedly friendly in a home with children, did well in a crate, and seemed housebroken. In the shelter, he’s been polite on leash, enjoys his walks, and has even made several doggy friends in playgroup.

But the shelter has become overwhelming for him. He’s struggling with kennel stress and is often seen pacing and spinning due to how overstimulating it’s become. He’s also shown some nervousness around men and will need a patient home willing to go slow and support him with possible training.

Winslow shines in the moments he feels safe—on walks, with trusted people, and with his dog friends. He just needs a calm, understanding home to help him settle and feel secure again.
He’s sweet, sensitive, and trying his best… he just needs someone to choose him before his time runs out.

Meet Rolo (A286902) 💙🐾

Rolo is a 2.5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who's been waiting far too long for his happy ending.

This handsome guy came to us as a stray back in December, and while we can't tell you where he came from, we can tell you exactly what he's about: fun, friendship, and fetch!

Rolo is the kind of dog who approaches life like every day is the best day ever. Going for a walk? Amazing. Playing fetch? Even better. Making new friends? That's his specialty. He's friendly, playful, and always ready to turn an ordinary outing into an adventure.

Months have passed, but Rolo hasn't let shelter life dull his sparkle. He still greets each day with a wagging tail and hopes that today might be the day his family finds him.

If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, a fetch enthusiast, and a professional good-time coordinator, Rolo is ready to apply for the position. The only thing missing from his resume is a place to call home. ❤️🏡

We recommend bringing any dogs that are currently in your home to meet Rolo to ensure compatibility!

🚨 Felix needs out by Wednesday, June 3rd at 4:00 PM. 🚨

💔 Felix has been waiting since December, and the shelter environment is becoming too much for him.

This handsome 3-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix arrived as a stray and was initially timid and unsure. With patience and kindness, he blossomed into a sweet, polite boy who quickly became a volunteer favorite. Felix walks beautifully on leash, loves playing fetch, and enjoys spending time with his favorite people.
After months in the shelter, Felix is showing signs of kennel deterioration. The constant stress and overstimulation are taking a toll on him, and he desperately needs a calm place to decompress and feel safe again.

Felix has been friendly with other dogs, especially mellow companions, and would thrive in a home willing to help him continue building his confidence. While he's formed great relationships with volunteers and staff, he can be a little cautious when meeting some men at first and may need a little extra time to learn that new people are friends.

The volunteers know the real Felix—the loving, loyal dog hidden beneath the shelter stress.

⏳ Felix must be out of the shelter by Wednesday, June 3rd at 4:00 PM. Please share his story and help him find the fresh start he deserves. ❤️

Meet Mika (A279065), a 5-year-old Alaskan Husky who's proving that sometimes the best things come wrapped in fur and four paws. ❤️

Mika has been with us since last month, and in that short time she's become a favorite for anyone lucky enough to meet her. She's the kind of dog who believes every person is a potential best friend and every pet is a great idea.

Need a walking buddy? Mika has that covered. She strolls beautifully on leash, making walks feel less like a workout and more like quality time with a very fluffy friend. Need a little extra love in your life? Mika is a professional attention enthusiast and is always happy to soak up affection.

At 5 years old, Mika has left the puppy chaos behind and mastered the art of being sweet, gentle, and easy to spend time with. She's ready to trade shelter life for a couch, a family, and all the love she can get.

If you've been searching for a loyal companion with a heart as big as her fluffy husky smile, Mika is waiting to meet you. 🐾💕

We recommend bringing any dogs that are currently in your home to meet Mika to ensure compatibility!

🚨 URGENT: Chapeaka needs out by Wednesday, June 3rd at 4 PM 🚨

Sweet Chapeaka (A287367) has been waiting since December for someone to give her the second chance she deserves.

At 6 years old, this beautiful female Shepherd/Chow mix is a calm, polite girl who walks nicely on leash and appeared to be housebroken while living in an office. She can get along with other dogs, especially mellow companions, but more than anything, she's looking for a place where she can finally feel safe and loved.

After spending so many months in the shelter, the stress has become overwhelming. Chapeaka has developed a compulsive light and shadow chasing behavior—a sign of just how difficult shelter life has become for her. She needs the chance to decompress in a home environment where she can relax and be herself again.

💔 Chapeaka was found abandoned at Picacho Peak State Park and has been waiting ever since for someone to choose her.

⏰ She must leave the shelter by Wednesday, June 3rd at 4 PM.

Please share Chapeaka's story. After months of waiting, she deserves a soft bed, a loving family, and the opportunity to leave shelter stress behind forever. ❤️🐾
