Orv was a cherished member of the Cascade Fire family for nearly nine years, serving our community as a Firefighter Paramedic. Throughout his career, he touched countless lives through his service here with the fire department as well as at Cascade Medical Center. His dedication to helping others went far beyond his profession—he built genuine relationships, offered comfort during difficult times, and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Orv devoted his life to caring for others, and his compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to service will never be forgotten. His absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, coworkers, and the community he served so faithfully.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to McCall Fire and Riggins Ambulance for staffing our response district on Friday, allowing our staff the opportunity to come together, mourn, honor Orv’s life, and pay our final respects. Your support during this difficult time meant more than words can express.

Help reduce wildfire risk and clean up your property safely this season by bringing your residential woody debris to the collection bins instead of burning it.
✅ ACCEPTED:
• Residential hand-loaded woody debris
• Woody material approximately 6–8 inch DBH or smaller
• Material that can be safely hand loaded into bins
❌ NOT ACCEPTED:
• Mechanical loading into bins
• Garbage bags filled with woody debris or grass clippings
• Wooden furniture
• Stumps
