👀Road Watch for the Week of August 24, 2026
(All projects are weather dependent)

🚧Berlin Township – Wheeler Road between Tubspring Road and Almont Road will have a full one-day closure due to a crossroad culvert replacement during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Brockway Township - M-19 from the City of Yale to Fisher Road will have intermittent lane closures due to a mill fill project during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Burtchville Township – M-25 between Burtch Road and Harris Road will have lane closures throughout the week due to concrete patchwork during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Casco Township – Church Road between Marine City Highway and Meisner Road has a
full-closure due to road reconstruction. This closure will continue through the beginning of September. A detour is posted.

🚧Casco Township – Hessen Road between Marine City Highway and Springborn Road will have a full one-day closure due to a crossroad culvert replacement in the are during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧China Township – St Clair Highway and Wadhams Road will be closed for the construction of a roundabout. This closure will continue through the end of August. A detour will be posted.

🚧Cottrellville Township – Marsh Road between Marine City Highway and Chartier Road will have intermittent lane closures due to tar and stone application throughout the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Cottrellville Township – Plank Road between Marsh Road and King Road will have intermittent lane closures due to tar and stone application throughout the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Fort Gratiot Township - Old Farm Lane from North River Road to Old Forge Drive will have intermittent lane closures due to a mill fill project during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Grant Township – Jeddo Road between Cribbins Road and Gibbons Road will remain closed to all traffic through to 10/15/26. This full closure is due to bridge maintenance work. A detour is posted.

🚧Ira Township – Swan Creek Road between Short Cut Road and Broadbridge Road will have intermittent lane closures due to a ditching project during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Kimball Township – Dove Road between Richman Road and Sturdevant Road will have intermittent lane closures due to ditching in the area during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Mussey Township – EB I-69 between Martin Road and Burt Road will have a lane closure due to cement patchwork throughout the week of 8/24/26.

🚧Riley Township - M-19 from the City of Memphis to 0.5 mi north will have intermittent lane closures due to a mill fill project during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧St. Clair Township - Davis Road from M-29 to River Road will have intermittent lane closures due to an asphalt overlay project during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧St. Clair Township – Klettner Road between Bartlett Road and Wadhams Road will have a full one-day closure due to a crossroad culvert replacement in the area during the week of 8/24/26.

🚧St. Clair Township – M-29 between Cuttle Road and Huron Boulevard will have a lane closure due to concrete patchwork in the area during the week of 8/24/26.

Please note that when they’re talking about county line, I believe they are talking about the actual county line not the road county line. I believe it will be from the railroad tracks to the part of division that was repaved.

🚧 PROJECT UPDATE 🚧

Preventive maintenance work on 32 Mile Road between the CN railroad crossing and the County line in Richmond and Richmond Township is anticipated to start August 31 and is estimated to be completed in October (weather permitting). The road will be open to one way traffic during construction operations. Drivers are encouraged to follow the posted detours and seek alternate routes. Access to all businesses and properties will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.

The project includes pavement milling (removal of 2 inches of pavement), curb and gutter, aggregate shoulder, resurfacing the roadway with a 3-inch asphalt overlay, pavement markings and restoration work.

🚧Brockway Township - Arendt Road bridge between Yale Road and Jeddo Road will have a full one-day closure on 8/12/26. This closure is due to an epoxy overlay project.

🚧Brockway Township – Yale Road between Duquette Road and the Yale City Limits will have intermittent lane closures due to ditching in the area during the week of 8/10/26.

🚧Casco Township – Church Road between Marine City Highway and Meisner Road has a full-closure due to road reconstruction. This closure will continue through the beginning of September. A detour is posted.

🚧Casco Township – Palms Road between Adair Road and the I-94 Overpass will have intermittent lane closures due to bridge work and an epoxy overlay project throughout the week of 8/10/26.

🚧Columbus Township – Withey Road between Crawford Road and Big Hand Road will have a full closure starting 8/10/26, and continuing through 8/18/26. This closure is due to a culvert replacement in the area.

🚧Cottrellville Township – King Road between Marine City Highway and Chartier Road will have intermittent lane closures due to hot rubber application throughout the week of 8/10/26.

🚧Cottrellville Township – Marsh Road between Marine City Highway and Chartier Road will have intermittent lane closures due to tar and stone application throughout the week of 8/10/26.

🚧Lynn Township – Sterling Road between Norman Road and Fulton Road will be closed to all traffic beginning on 8/3/26, and continuing through to 8/10/26. This full closure is due to a crossroad culvert replacement. A detour is posted.

🚧Mussey Township – I-69 Capac Rest Area will have lane closures due to concrete patchwork during the week of 8/10/26.

🚧St Clair Township – Gratiot Road between Wadhams Road and Bartlett Road has a full-closure due to road reconstruction. This closure will continue through the end of August. A detour is posted.

🚧St. Clair Township – Yankee Road between Pug Road and M-25 will have a one-day full closure due to a crossroad culvert replacement during the week of 8/10/26.

🔘China Township-Wadhams Road and St Clair Highway🔘
Construction of a roundabout at Wadhams Road and St Clair Highway is scheduled to begin on August 10, 2026. During construction, the intersection will be closed completely to traffic. This pattern will be maintained for the duration of the project. The posted detour for Wadhams Road will be King Road, and St Clair Highway will be detoured to Fred Moore Highway. Traffic will be maintained within the construction zone, including to homes and businesses. Local residents and emergency vehicles will have access to local properties throughout the entire project. Local residents are encouraged to plan for delays due to construction. We request your cooperation and patience. Construction is scheduled to be completed in early September. All scheduling and project dates are subject to change depending on weather and the contractor’s schedule.This project is financed by the St. Clair County Road Commission, the State of Michigan, and the Federal Highway Administration at a total estimated cost for construction of $463,000. The prime contractor is Asphalt Specialists, Inc.
