We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two Goldsby firefighters. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Goldsby Fire Department, their community, and the families affected during this incredibly difficult time.

Today, members of Cashion Fire Rescue responded to assist Okarche Fire, alongside several neighboring agencies, with a large wildfire west of Okarche.

Despite challenging conditions, including high winds and extremely dry fuels, all personnel on scene worked efficiently and cohesively to bring the fire under control before it could spread further.

We are proud of the professionalism and dedication displayed by everyone involved.

Over the past couple of months, five of your Cashion firefighters have gone above and beyond, dedicating over 60 hours of training to become Engineers for the department.

The Engineer position is a vital part of our emergency response team. These individuals are responsible for safely driving the apparatus and operating the pump to ensure water and equipment are delivered efficiently at the scene.
