🎉 The wait is almost over! 🎉

We are excited to welcome you into our new Cashmere Public Library with a soft opening beginning Tuesday, July 7, at our new home in Riverside Center, located at 201 Riverside Drive in Cashmere.

Starting July 7, visitors can stop in to:
📚 Browse collections
📖 Pick up holds
🪑 Explore expanded spaces and seating
🎨 Discover new areas for children, tweens, and teens
🤝 Enjoy meeting, study, and community gathering spaces

We know many community members were looking forward to our previously anticipated June 29 opening date. As is often the case with construction projects, a few final details required additional time to complete. We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience, flexibility, and support as we worked to ensure the library is ready to welcome the community.

This new library was shaped by community input and represents an exciting investment in the future of library service in Cashmere. We can't wait to open the doors and share it with you!

📚✨ Look what's happening in Cashmere! ✨📚

Boxes are being unpacked, shelves are filling up, and the new Cashmere Library at Riverside Center is starting to feel like home. Our team is hard at work getting everything ready to welcome you in, very soon! We can't wait to share this beautiful new space with you, it has more room to gather, browse, read, and connect.

Hello Cashmere. The Salmon Release Activities and Parade on May 30th was so much fun! We had over 150 participants and loads of smiles. Thank you for helping our baby Coho Salmon Fry make the big leap into the big River.

Summer Library Sign-ups are happening in Cashmere this Wednesday, June 17th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in front of the Riverside Center. A selection of books will be there to "Check out" if you have a library card as well.

What is it?
The Washington Youth Arts Leadership (WAYAL) Program aims to grow the next generation of arts leaders and creative workers by providing career-connected learning opportunities and mentorship. WAYAL convenes a yearly cohort of youth and young adults (ages 16-19) from across Washington State to explore the arts and cultural field, creative careers, and related policy. Cohort members attend monthly online seminars and an optional in-person event in Seattle. They receive a stipend for their time and active participation.

Cashmere Library will be closed for the month of June (last day open is tomorrow 10 am - 2 pm) in preparation for our move to the Riverside Center.
*Any holds not picked up will be sent to Wenatchee Library for pickup.
* The book drop will still work but look for a new one near the front of the Riverside Center shortly.
* Feel free to check out lots of books to hold you over or visit Peshastin, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Entiat libraries.
* I will be working at a different location and doing LOTS of Outreach but will answer my emails.
* Pick up a LINK Library Passport at any library this summer while visiting other libraries- Starts June 1st -ride the link- get stickers for your passport at the libraries- earn a prize! Fun!
