The Friends of the Natrona County Library is honoring longtime board member Larry Linn for his 28 years of board membership. 2026 marks Larry’s last year serving as a board member for the Friends.

The Friends of the Library plays a vital role in supporting the Natrona County Library through fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement. Through book sales, donation management, and event support, the organization helps make possible many of the experiences and resources patrons enjoy each year at the library.

Since joining the Friends, Larry has been a consistently active and engaged volunteer, dedicating countless hours to the organization and personally handling thousands of donated items. Even as he steps down from the board, Larry plans to continue volunteering with the Friends for the foreseeable future.

“We think that serving on a volunteer board for more than a fourth of a century is worth noting,” said Friends of the Library Co-President Sharyle Good. This sentiment was echoed by fellow volunteers at an April 15 meeting, where the group gathered to celebrate Larry’s remarkable tenure with a set of custom gifts.

As a volunteer, Larry has taken the lead in managing vinyl records, music CDs, history, and military history book donations. His love of music was reflected in one of his gifts—a custom mug labeled “Vinyl Addict,” along with record-themed keepsakes. Equally well known is his fondness for Hawaiian shirts, both of which were featured on a framed certificate of achievement presented in his honor.

The Friends of the Natrona County Library extends its sincere gratitude to Larry Linn for his decades of service and lasting impact on the organization and the community.
