Join us for the 5th Annual Emergency Response Expo this Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Eastridge Mall in the south parking lot!

Hosted in recognition of National Preparedness Month, the Emergency Response Expo is a free, community event designed to promote awareness and education surrounding emergency preparedness. Citizens of all ages are encouraged to attend and engage with local public safety professionals, explore response equipment, and learn more about how agencies throughout Natrona County prepare for and respond to critical incidents.

Expect to see displays of law enforcement vehicles, fire apparatus, emergency medical services equipment, and other response tools from the agencies below:

At the request of Carbon county, NCFD fire units are heading to assist with a Wildland fire in the area of Chalk Mtn within the Shirley Basin, structures possibly threatened. Fire column is visible from parts of Natrona County.

As part of ongoing decommissioning activities at the Casper Wind Farm in Natrona County, Chevron and its contractor plan to use energetic felling techniques, including controlled explosives, to remove select wind turbine towers beginning approximately 72 hours from this notice.

What neighbors may notice:

A brief, loud noise at the time of tower felling.
Temporary vibration that may be felt in areas near the project site.
Increased activity from construction equipment, cranes, trucks, and work crews supporting decommissioning activities.
Traffic associated with project work along local routes, including Stonewood Street and Sunburst Drive.

Last night on 08/13/2026 at approximately 2300 The Natrona County Fire District was dispatched by Casper Public Safety Communications Center to the area of Bolton Creek Rd for the report of a vehicle swept from water with unknown occupants. NCFD, Natrona County Sheriff's Office, and a unit from Banner Health responded. Responders quickly located the vehicle with one occupant on top of the vehicle. NCFD deployed the inflatable water rescue boat and rescued the occupant from the vehicle and safely brought them to shore. There were no reported injuries from the occupant, or any responders. NCFD would like to thank all of the agencies that assisted in this incident.
