Oakle and his family have already enjoyed several adventures on wheels since his wish was granted last fall. During their camping trips, they roast hot dogs over the fire, go on walks to gather firewood, and simply enjoy being surrounded by Wyoming’s nature.

Wishes must be safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for each child. 💙⭐ That's why Make-A-Wish Wyoming follows specific policies and guidelines for granting a child's wish.

However, the child's physician also plays a major role in determining whether the child's condition will permit a particular wish to be coordinated safely. Our team works closely with the wish child's physician to determine the most appropriate time to grant the wish, keeping in mind the child's treatment protocol or other concerns.

Oakle, an adventurous four-year-old from Pine Bluffs, is a tough, tenacious young boy who’s not letting anything stand between him and a roaring campfire. Along with his pursuit of making the perfect s’more, Oakle loves spending time outside with his family, which includes his three siblings. From hairless cats, to truck restorations and playroom makeovers, there is no cap on a child's imagination when it comes to a wish. While many children may wish to visit the destination of their dreams, Make-A-Wish Wyoming generally grants four types of wishes including wishes to go, have, meet, and be.

Please join us in welcoming our new Community Outreach Coordinator, Tamara Ludiker!

Growing up in Casper, Tamara learned the value of community and showing up for others. With a background in health science, she has experience in supporting individuals and families through all of life's moments, giving her a true appreciation for the strength and resilience people carry. With four children, Tamara and her family spend time together playing basketball, camping, and enjoying the outdoors.

Tamara shares:
"I am truly honored to join the Make-A-Wish team in Wyoming. Creating lasting memories is especially important to me and that is what draws me to Make-A-Wish. The ability to bring hope, joy, and meaningful experiences during some of life’s hardest times is something I deeply believe in. I am excited to work with Make-A-Wish and contribute to the mission by building relationships in the community, raising awareness, and helping expand support for the organization!"

The impact from a wish begins the moment it is granted. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who showed up and supported Serving Up Wishes last month, we were able to make an incredible impact on the lives of children and their families across Wyoming.

For over 40 years, Make-A-Wish Wyoming has turned community support into life-changing impact. And because of you, that impact continues.
