Heads up! Flu season is right around the corner, and now is the time to start thinking about your flu vaccine!

Flu activity usually starts to increase in the fall, peaks in the winter, and can last into spring. Getting your flu vaccine at the right time helps keep you protected all season long.

CDC RECOMMENDS:
For most people, the best time to get your flu vaccine is late September/October, ideally by the end of October.

Why not too early?
Getting vaccinated too early may mean your protection wears off before flu season reaches its peak.

Exceptions: Some people may be advised to get vaccinated earlier, such as certain children who need 2 doses or pregnant people in their 3rd trimester. Talk with your healthcare provider if you have questions about when you should get vaccinated.
