Sherman rode his e-bike to the Club, and noticed his tire was looking a little low. Before long, a loud boom echoed through the area. The tire had completely blown out. Sherman spent his time trying to figure out how to fix it himself and never asked for help.
Luckily, Club member Derrek noticed what was going on and stepped in without hesitation. He took the time to help Sherman get his bike repaired.
These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. Seeing teens help one another, and even help staff without being asked, shows the kind of leaders they are becoming.
A big thank you to Derrek for lending a hand and showing what kindness and teamwork look like in action.

For our last photography session, one of our teens, Landon, and his family graciously shared their cabin with us. Not only did our members capture some fantastic nature photographs, but we also had the opportunity to learn more about Landon, his life, and the things he loves.

One of the family's special traditions is that when you visit the cabin for the first time, you get to write your name on your own mug as a reminder that you were there. What a wonderful tradition and a memory that Landon will cherish for the rest of his life.

Thank you to Landon and the Bowman family for giving us a truly unforgettable experience and memories that will last a lifetime!

We had a fantastic summer of creativity and competition! Our teens had the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents through airbrush designs, model car creations, and painting projects.

The BGCCW Administration Team had the chance to vote for the winners of the 1st Annual Car Model Contest:

1st Place: Connor G.
2nd Place: Ely T.

For the 5th Annual Painting Contest, the winners were:
1st Place: Addy F.
2nd Place: Kya R.
As a special tradition, the winners of the painting contest received a free Taco Bell lunch.

All of the teens did an outstanding job demonstrating their creativity, dedication, and artistic skills. Throughout the summer, members worked hard and showed just how much talent they have. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to seeing even more amazing creations in the future!

The Teens had a great first year with Classbank! We started the program at Dean Morgan and the Teen Center at the Main Club. During the summer, we began implementing the program with our teens. Each time members participated in programs, field trips, or activities, they earned coins. The program teaches members the value of saving their coins to spend at our club store, which offered a variety of items including food, drinks, board games, and much more.

On the final day, we held an auction where members had the opportunity to use their saved coins to bid on exciting prizes. This experience taught them how auctions work while creating a fun and engaging atmosphere as they competed for items they wanted. It was a great way to reinforce financial literacy, decision-making, and the rewards of saving.

Our teens got the opportunity to learn new cooking skills while making their own style of Alfredo! Each teen was able to get creative and put their own spin on the dish.

What a great way to learn valuable life skills, build confidence in the kitchen, and enjoy a delicious meal they made themselves!

Some of our preteens have discovered a new passion for building model cars and spray painting! What a great way to introduce them to new forms of art while allowing them to be creative, learn new skills, and express themselves.

What a wonderful way to celebrate as we get closer to the end of summer! Our teens had the opportunity to enjoy one of their favorite things with their families!

We had around 11 families join us for an evening filled with hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, and fun activities.

It was also a great opportunity to connect with families, talk about how their teens have been doing, and hear about all the great things they’ve been involved in throughout the summer.

Thank you to all the families who came out and made this Family BBQ such a special evening! We’re looking forward to finishing the summer strong together!

Our Photography members headed up the mountain to capture some amazing pictures and put their skills to work! These teens have been part of Photography Club since the beginning of summer, and their hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn new skills have truly paid off.

As a special treat for all their hard work, they got to enjoy a well-deserved stop at Chozen Yogurt!

We’re so proud of how much they’ve learned and grown behind the camera this summer! Great job, photographers!

Mason has participated in every Cooking with Alex session and has done an outstanding job developing his culinary skills. Last week, he was especially excited to learn the “secret” behind Pedro’s salsa and how it is made. Mason jumped right in, followed the steps, and did a fantastic job making the salsa himself. It was great to see his confidence, curiosity, and growing skills in the kitchen!
