Summer has been off to a fantastic start these past three weeks! Our teens and tweens have been staying active, engaged, and learning new skills through a variety of exciting programs and activities.
Members have been participating in Cooking with Alex as part of our Healthy Habits program, where they have been learning basic breakfast preparation skills and the importance of making healthy food choices. In Art with Dakota, members have been exploring their creativity and expressing themselves through unique art projects.
Sherman’s Nerdy Board Games program continues to draw great attendance, helping members strengthen critical thinking, strategy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through a variety of fun games. Our 3D Printing Program has also been a huge success, introducing members to technology, design, and engineering concepts. Participants are learning how to create digital designs, think creatively, and turn their ideas into real-world objects using 3D printers.
Outdoor Pickleball has been another favorite activity this summer, giving members the opportunity to stay active, build sportsmanship, and enjoy friendly competition. Our first out-of-town field trip to Ayres Natural Bridge was a great success, providing members with an opportunity to explore nature, build friendships, and create lasting memories.
Last but certainly not least, our Photography Club has been doing an outstanding job learning the basics of photography, camera operation, composition, and visual storytelling. Members have been developing their creative vision while capturing moments from our summer adventures. Beginning next week, Photography Club members will take on an exciting new role by creating content for our social media updates and contributing photos and stories to our monthly parent newsletter.
Thank you to all of our members for making this summer so much fun. Stay tuned for more great adventures, learning opportunities, and unforgettable experiences throughout the rest of the summer!
