Congratulations to those that were accepted to this year's MDOT Bridge Building Competition. For the competition students had to create a specific type of bridge with strict guidelines and limited materials. Students from across the state submitted a lengthy application filled with research, data, pictures, and CAD drawings over their specific bridge that they created. Out of all the applicants we had two groups from Cass City that were accepted to the state competition in Grand Rapids. Unfortunately the event was cancelled, but I wanted to acknowledge their hard work.

Congratulations to Jeremy Valasquez, Tyler Czekai, Sandyn Cuthrell, Imogen Sanders, Miguel Orive, and Paige Hudson!

A big thank you to Erik Tamlyn! He came in to STEM 2 today and shared about his experience as an engineer. The students enjoyed the presentation and learned a lot. Some of the students are thinking about going into engineering so it was great for them to hear from someone in the field. Thank you!
